The main guy's girlfriend was annoying as hell. I didn't like Denise Richard's character either, but, hey as long as she looks good. I gotta say though I was expecting better storywise, although Mr. Ingram's direction was great (I'd love to see more of what he's done) and seeing Lisa Marie (the waitress who races with Busey) was definitley the highlight (Tim Burton's a lucky bastard).
