It's called an ensemble cast. Magnolia had one, as did Tim Robbins' Cradle Will Rock. LA Story, I think is the name, it had one. Pulp Fiction had one. Shannen Doherty said that Mallrats had one, but I kinda like Lee was the main character.
If anything, I think the new one'll be like Four Rooms. Seperate stories tying up lose ends from each movie.
That way, we see all the old characters and don't have to worry about them seeing each other and causing a universal paradox!
