Lately that concept has been driven into the ground. I realize George Lucas did not invent the prequel, but damn they've been popping up a lot since Phantom Menace. Like...uhhh...Viva Rock Vegas or something. Well if you look around Upcomingmovies.com, it just seems like every company is going the trilogy route and doing it this way: First the second movie, then it's prequel, then the sequel. Or maybe the prequel is third (like Dusk till Dawn...i think). I don't know, I just think the prequel idea is hackneyed and it leads to trouble. Just look at how Lucas fuidged up the entire Star Wars continuity. He claims he wrote the prequels decades ago. My ass! Well then again, he had to be on some funky 70's smack to conjure up Jar Jar Binks.
