It was THX-1138, George Lucas' first movie, that inspired my name. I couldn't remember the order of the numbers when I signed up for a hotmail account, oh so long ago, and I've used it for screen names ever since.
Jack's sense of rejection is from FIGHT CLUB.
No idea about the others.
