: Although, Lee did say something about not doing big action flicks for the money.
: What the hell was 'Enemy of the State'? Saturday morning Matinee?
: I'm not saying he did it for the money, but the scenes he was in certainly had an air of 'action' about them.
I read somewhere that this was Bruckheimer trying to get a bunch of New generation actors into his films, thats why we see; Barry Pepper, Lee and other young hopefuls depending on your opinion, this was or was not a sellout, and remember, he still has to put food on the table, so he had a BIT part in an (Arguably) action-based movie, so again, depending on your opinion....
: I like Lee, I like his delivery, I like his mannerisms, I like the way he says 'Holy Shit' in both 'Rats and 'Enemy', but movie stars and actors are two totally different things.
: Someone who takes on the role whole heartedly, learns an accent, changes appearance, etc (De Niro for one) is an actor.
Lee did "Cuisine Américain", in which he spoke lines not only in a french accent, but in the French language aswell, so according to your theory...
: Someone who relies on their name to draw the crowds, (you know who you are), is a 'star'. And I use the term in it's loosest possible sense.
what did Mosier say about Mallrats' stars? "Shannon Doherty"(Someone you hate) and Jason Lee(Someone you dont know). Hes not famous enoough to do the Nic Cage Name Game. But he WILL be famous enough... I guarantee he will be famous enough, but I doubt he will sellout
: There are too many 'stars', not enough actors!!!
I completely agree, so lets leave Lee alone and concentrate on Nicolas Cage and Sly stallone, and Van Damme(although now I think people avoid him), and countless others...
: Lee, Show us you're an actor, not a star.
I think he already has...
: Cheers then
Cheers to you
