apparently I'm alone in my opinion so I'll speak up.
I read the other posts fighting for Kevin, if your only defense is how some of Tarantino's scripts make you cringe, c'mon, let's not forget some of the easier jokes Kevin has gone for (*disclaimer below) When Kevin reaches for the spray to defeat the golgothan, I can't help but cringe at the oncoming joke.
The quick exchange between Adams and Affleck on the dance floor in Chasing Amy is such a gratuitous excuse to reference the previous films, I really wish it had been cut rather than some of the great moments that only made dvd.
Kevin does throw down some great dialogue:
evil is an abstract (another reason I'm eagerly awaiting Dogma SE DVD
food court vs autonomous unit of mid-mall snacking
Adams' "no apologies" speech outside the hockey arena (that one still gives me chills, christ she's great in that scene)
Banky's "mata-fuckin-hari" speech (why Kev, why cut it from the movie? All you reading this that don't have the dvd are missing a FABULOUS banky rant)
but in light of all that, don't forget QT's contribution to cinematic dialogue:
RD:I like the madonna speech
RD: Big Joe arguing with the team about their color names, everybody wants to be Mr. Black... why am I Mr. Pink, cause you're a fag...Mr. Brown, little too close to Mr. Shit...Mr White, you have a cool sounding name... I'm no professional criminal but that whole scene struck me as sounding very realistic
RD: "someone's shoving a read hot poker up our asses and I wanna know who's name is on the handle" (love that line)
RD: Mr. Pink's annoyed comments while being arrested at the end
PF: Europe speech from Travolta
PF: Ezekial, yeah Jackson brought it to life and it's practically a completely lifted bible verse but c'mon, tarantino made it happen.
shit, I'm tired.
I have more to offer but I doubt anyone will read this as long as it already is.
if anybody cares to hear more, feel free to email or reply, I'll continue if anyone cares...

* save your angry rebuttals and channel that energy somewhere more productive, I love Smith's movies, I'm about to explode waiting on the Dogma SE DVD, the only pacifier I have is the other 3 VA dvd's I have, which I already had on vhs prior to owning a dvd player but had to re-buy for the extras.
I, by no means profess to be more talented or funnier, I'm mearly responding with my thoughts on the idea of Smith vs Tarantino
