You see, she said that she didn't want the book used in ANY way in the movie because ANY use of it would lead to misinterpretation by the millions of Catholics and other imbeciles on the planet that still think witchcraft is evil because of movies just like BWP.

Get it?

I think they should just use the Necronomicon, seeing as the lore behind that book has already been fucked up beyond the point of even resembling the book as H.P. Lovecraft originally described it.

Of course, then my script would be viewed as a rip off of BWP2, when it clearly isn't.

Why don't they just use De Vermis Mysteriis?

It's been used as the main demon resurrection book in most of Lovecraft's stories, and it has no lore based around it aside from that, so why not give it some lore by using it in the movie?

The answer is because they want to include real Witchcraft and Pagan practices in the movie, but use them in all the wrong contexts in order to have some incorrect basis in reality with which to scare everyone who doesn't have someone like Isis to explain it to them.

There are some things you just don't mess with...

: Well, we don't know what context in which the book is used in the sequel. Perhaps it's the key to STOPPING the Blair Witch, with all it's Glenda-esque witchy goodness. Ever think of that?
