What do you do when you love great films, yet you have chosen a career that has absolutely nothing to do with film, and the people you spend most of your life around look at you like you are crazy when you are foolish enough to mention a indy (for lack of better word) film that you like?

I find myself in an odd predicament. Actually, the main value of 'Clerks' for me is the climax of the movie where Randall tells Dante in no uncertain terms what Dante's 'problem' is. That's the moment, the moment that grabs me in every independent (hate that word) film that I end up liking forever. For me, the label or budget is not the kicker (although I like the idea that someone was willing to go to extremes in order to get a work of art made), it boils down to the simple concept of indentification. I identify with the main character or theme of the film itself. Much of the rest is just hoopla to me.

Anyhow, I'm Dante right now. It's time to 'shit or get off the pot.' I'm not even supposed to be here today.
