Has anyone seen the movie Dogs: The Rise and Fall of an All Girl Bookie joint? An LA independent film magazine called it "clerks for chicks" so of course I was compelled. The quote was semi-accurate. Four girls on the lower west side of NY poverty decide to start their own bookie joint, without much knowledge of sports, point spreads, etc. Looked at the bizarre relationships women have with their mothers. A pretty good flick. Chick stuff, but cute. If anyone's interested, it's at Hollywood Video-on of their First Rite independent picks.
