. . . no, that was a flashback to the Labor Day weekend. Hmm . . . what was I going to write?
Ah, yes--I finally watched the commentary versions of "Mallrats" and "Chasing Amy" on DVD and it was pretty dang fab-five. What in the hell does "fab-five" mean? I don't know. I guess I just made up a slang term that harkens back to the Beatles. Anyway, I really enjoyed Jason Lee's commentary on "Mallrats" because he's like a kid in the proverbial (albeit cliched) candy store. He seems to really like what he does--no jade in his house--and I really admire that. He's either truly happy for his craft, or he's a really, really good at acting like that. I also really dug Affleck's Mr. Cock-and-Bull front . . . if it is a front. He can roll it. I think everyone else was mostly great on the commentary, but I just appreciated those two guys' comments the most.
I think that is it. I'm trying to write a fictional story in the mindset of the 13-17 girl mindset, so I'd better get back to it. Being a guy in his twenties who doesn't know jack about 13-17 year-old girls, this should be quite the ride. For a potential $100, I'll swing it. I'm a writing whore right now.
Have a good one, posters!
