I look back on digging through comic book drawers (yes, drawers) at the old used bookstore in my little Montana town and finding so many treasures and I get a little glassy-eyed. I didn't care if they were colored on or were ripped, they were so fun to find and read. I remember I got a Ghost Rider (original) #6 in really nice condition for .25 and I couldn't believe the guy wouldn't sell it for more. He knew how much they were worth, but his business was books. Later, I realized people thought that Ghost Rider was lame. I didn't care . . . I thought it rocked. I also got an old western comic with the cowboy Ghost Rider which I thought was awesome, too, but cowboy comics were considered lame, too. I like lameness, I guess. I haven't bought comic books for a long time now, but if I were to, it would be in a cruddy store with shitty copies.

Thanks for conjuring up those memories and making me cry like a little girl. ; )

: going to comic book conventions and just being able to look for comics you like...finding that hidden treasure at the dirst mall etc. I mean you cant really do that any more can ya?
: the thrill of the hunt for the rare sandman #8....and then the excitement when you find it for a quarter in some crappy flea market...ebay has kinda ruined that...but man that use to be a blast...

: thanks for caring

: peace
