A year ago when I worked for a video game company, Engineering Animation Inc. (EAII), we started development on a Toy/game tie-in for Muppets From Space. It was to be distributed by a company called Zowie Toys and worked as such. You had a play board that plugged into your computer and then when you moved the play peices on the board the characters would mimic what you did on the screen. The board had various sections for different games you could play that were similar to scenes from the movie.
Due to EAI closing up shop mid-development the product was never released, Zowie did a pirate ship thing for Christmas instead.
I'm wondering if you will, or care to have any input into tie-ins with your projects?
The toy was cool as hell but the dialouge in games always sucked, especially the kids games that I worked on. It would be nice to see some of the quality from script to screen continued in marketing. Unlike what will undoubtably be a pile of Grinch crap in Wal-Marts this season.
