: It's me again, the game tester jackass from SLC, UT.
Isn't it illegal to say Ass is SLC?
: I've suggested this many times in the past. I will continue to do so until you tell me there is no chance in hell that you'd consider it.
From AICN:
[EG]: Comics, movies, television…what’s next? Multimedia?
[KS]: We’ve got the internet covered, but it’d be nice to do a video game. I’m shocked that we still haven’t done one to date. Periodically, people call and say, “We’d like to do a video game” and it just never materializes because it’s something that I’d like to be involved in and I just haven’t given that much thought to it. But, yeah, it’d be great to do a “Jay and Bob” video game. It seems like a natural. You gotta leave some stuff to accomplish in the future. Because right now it’s just like, “Well, I guess I’ve done everything, it’s time to go.”
: If you have a decent PC, please pick up a copy of one or more of the following LucasArts games: Maniac Mansion: Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max Hit the Road, Grim Fandango. Play the games. If the format of these games does not immediately strike you as perfect for a View Askew game, you may immediately strike me dead.
For Fucks sake, suggest something original. I for one think that Spumco.com and John K. are on track with this whole thing. Not games but little shows for the net. As bandwidth gets better shows, get longer. Think about it like this, an episode of the Simpsons takes 3 months to do with V.O. and overseas animation. An episode of South Park takes something like 30 days because they record VO in house and the animation is scripted in a computer. When an animator moves a character left it knows to make the feet move.
: And please don't think I'm only suggesting this because of my involvement in games. I am not affiliated with LucasArts. I just want to play a good game of that genre.
Who do you work for? I worked for EAI. There was a office in SLC but it closed a year ago.
Personally I don't think the characters will work well in a game environment. Dialouge driven games tend to be a little boring, but who knows.
