Watchmen could very well be made into a movie. The comic itself was made very much in a motion picture-esque style. It would be an almost three hour 'Green Mile' type movie, but The film could easily be made frame for frame from the comic complete with voice over's for Rorshach's journal.
THe only needed differences would be the fact that we'd have to pt some pants on Dr. Manhattan, and it'd probably be necessary to omit the 'Tales From the Black Freighter' pirate stories, as they would very much just cause confusion.
