: : I think Jason Lee would do better because Jason Lee has a comedic... aura... about him. o.O Affleck is a good actor, but doesn't have any comedic vibes coming from 'em....

: I've never seen FLETCH (tried to watch the first one, didn't like it...I'm sorry, wasn't my thing...if Fletch was played by a sock puppet I'd be all over it) and I'm sure anything Chevy Chase could do, Lee could do infinitely better, but Affleck has extremely great comedic timing. Not only did he constantly keep everyone on the CHASING AMY set entertained (and not just when he played grab-ass with the drunk grips), the dude was funny in MALLRATS, AMY and DAZED AND CONFUSED.

: Not to mention the BEN FIGHTS THE METEOR movie. That was just plain silly.

Indeed, Affleck does do some great comedy. Mallrats and Dazed and Confused are some of his better things. I may get heat from this, but I really seriously don't like Chasing Amy that much (don't hit me). I mean, the one scene with Mewes and Smith is great, and Jason Lee is real funny in it, but all and all, I'm not a bg fan of that movie. I do think Dogma is the best film I've seen with Affleck, and certainley Matt Damon (although, I have seen Good Will Hunting yet. Perhaps after a view of that I may give Damon some credit.) And Lynch, don't feel alone, I'm not a big Fletch fan either. Smith making the 3rd film brings interest to me, but the first (never saw Fletch Lives) was just an ok movie that just didn't have an impact on me.
