: Actually oddsare dozens and dozens have thought of this, but i before i knew shit about kevin smith i thought clerks was filmed in blakc and white to resemble securtiy cameras normally found in conveneince stores.
I never thought that about it because security cameras don't hve sound and they showed Dante at home and stuff...
The black and white is okay, but I thought it would've been better in color... Maybe it's because the background was so busy, it was almost distracting in black and white because it's like a whole new perspective... You're seeing stuff at the convenience store and you can't tell what it is quite as easily, which makes it more distracting than a million candy wrapper colors you recognize and quickly ignore.
I don't understand why anyone would walk out on a movie because a lot of it is in black and white... That's pretty stupid, if you ask me. I just think it'd be easier on the eyes if it was in color.. Not so alien. Maybe this is because I have bad sight, though.
