Well, as much as I am against helping you cheat (come up eith your own ideas!), I'll help you out. I think that there will still be the same amount of good independent films that there are today...i.e. 3-4 a year.
It doesn't matter if you can make a movie...then it has to get a) picked up by a festival b)enjoyed c)bought d)marketed right...all of these things act as "idiot filters" on the horibble films. And then, even some that find their way to mainstream audiences, only about half actually make money, or develop a following. So unless you've got a season pass at Sundance, you're not gonna see much more shit.
