Just a thought I had. The unions are downplaying it completely, but the buzz says there *is* going to be a strike next year. Now, I would have to assume Kevin is a member of the Writer's Guild, which, if they strike, would mean nothing he wrote would be able to be produced. View Askew 5 should be well in the bag by May 01 (is that the alleged strike date?), but what about Fletch and beyond? Because I know, if there is too long a period without am Askew film, I go into a very deep depression and they have to send me to the mental hospital (which I hate, because there is this creepy chick in the room next to me, who, get this, allgedly fucked a dead guy! Gross!) and it takes a lot of medication to cheer me up. Or the thought of the special edition Dogma DVD. Anyway, if it does happen (and maybe you Askewers have a better idea whether this will happen on not, but Entertainment Weekly did devote a cover to it, and their track record is pretty good) what will View Askew do to keep busy? Studio productions would impossible, but would we maybe see some little indie stuff?
Of course, this is all complete speculation about something 9 months from now which may never happen, but you know, I was just curious. If I have any above facts wrong, please correct me, but be gentle.
Scott.
