today, in my local bookshop (in ireland, no less!) i was on looking around for some books for school because i have to repeat my final year. anyhoo, there i am looking around and i find New Senior Biology...."yeah, i need that" and then a few minuthes later i find Maths 2000..."hmm, need that one too".
So, i hand over all my cash and then i am snooping around the store, just generally in pure boredom. And low and behold, what do i see? A copy of Kevin Smiths 'Clerks', the screenplay in paperback form!
wow!! my heart skips a beat some much needed adrenalin flows thru my veins. i quickly fumble around my pockets, looking for the required £6.99, and what do i pull out? some worthless coins and a watch with no strap. i had spent all my money on the school books!! Curses! No Clerks book for me.
one thought jumped into my head. what of i had worked harder in school and didn't have to repeat? then i could have afforded it.
The morale of the story? Kids, stay in school. Study hard. Take your vitamins. You'll be able to buy all sorts of cool stuff.
