He went to some school in NYC for awhile, but never went to class, he just hung out in the lobby of NBC hoping to get a gig writing for Saturday Night Life. He went to the Vancouver Film School for awhile, but left, deciding to put the tuition money towards a movie. He did however meet Mosier before he left (for details go to Interviews Askew). I think that he said that he learned to write his dialogue by reading the Fletch Series. Hope that helps.
