: Having read the books and enjoying them quite a bit, I was kind of excited when I heard they were going to make a movie.

: Then I heard Kirk Cameron got the part of Buck Williams. I was slightly less excited. I decided I could overlook that though.

: Then I read that they were going to release the flick on video in October, with a theatrical release to follow in February. I decided that these people couldn't market themselves out of a paperback.

: The truth is, with the success of these books, they have a built in audience for the flicks. The christian "preaching," which is quite strong in the books, should have been toned down for the script. Then they could have shopped it around to some of the studios without worrying about that stigma being attached. The 'Omega Code' did halfway decent at the box office and it was a rambling piece of crap. Of course, I recently read that the script for the film covers the first two books, which means that they will probably lose some of the stronger narrative and characterization that have drawn me to the books in the first place.

: : I recently learned about the movie 'Left Behind', and I was just wondering if you had heard of it or had any thought on it. In case you haven't and want to check it out, heres the link to its home page.
