..it would "make" the event.
Don't feel the need to follow the crowd. Don't let them dictate your behavior. If you want to do it, do it. Be your own (dysfunctional) person.

: When this whole rigamarole began, Kevin mentione how his fancy would be tickled at the notion of combining a dress-up-haloween-y thing with the event, and possibly (I may be inventing this memory) giving away cool stuff to folks whose garb was above and beyond the call..
: Is this still the case, or has the enormity of the event, now that it is nigh upon us, overshadowed this aspect (which could be logistically ickky, and kind of awkward after the initial neatness of it wears off.. i.e. the "kid-in-the-all-white Azreal-costume-and-straw-hat-complete-with-prostetic-appliance-horns-feels-stupid-getting-lunch-in-the-all-white-Azreal-costume and-straw-hat-complete-with-prosthetic-appliance-horns" syndrome)
: Things like these are delicate beasts- either they are completely gone with, or not at all. Nothing is quite so sad as a would-be costume event where the costume-wearing is more honored in the breach. Except of course, for this. ( http://www.supergreg.com/ ) Nothing is sadder than that.*
: Let it be known, as if it IS still on, & folks ARE comeing decked out in VA finery, and ESPECIALLY if there is even the hint of potential of booty to be gained (er.."booty" as in how it means to a pirate, not "booty" as in "booty call" type booty), then I will, in fact, construct a View Askew Costume that puts my Photoshoppery to shame. This is no idle threat.
: But I gots to have time to prepare. So let us know, eh?
