There are certain things in this world that are just plain funny. Monkey is one of those things. Whether it's the word or an image, it's funny and catchy.
Webmonkey.com is a good example. Drunk Monkey is a term we have all probably used before. Obviously Spanking the Monkey. The original poster's handle of Mr Killmonkey. "beat you like a circus monkey" (a personal favorite). Monkey shit, though not used extensively is funny. The video on the internet we have all seen of the monkey picking it's ass, smelling it, then passing out. These are all funny.
Monkey is a good word, a funny word. Good for referring to almost anything. In this case, the film industry, or the process of making a film. Behold the monkey, for it is good! Praise be to monkey!
