Dogma is just as connected to the ther three movies as Mallrats is.
Jay mentions the events of Mallrats to Loki on the train. I don't see
that as any different from Holden and Alyssa's conversation in the
bar. A trilogy does mean "three" but I have always assumed that
Dogma was included in the Jersey Trilogy. There are many
precedents in the entertainment industry for more than 3
"installments" still being called a trilogy. Douglas Adams'
"HitchHikers Guide..." trilogy for one.
