Kevin (and his editor) know that a LOT of readers who are new to GA will be coming on board for this series. I'm sure they'll make sure we know everything we need to know. (I was a DC fan as a kid, so I'd never read any Daredevil until Kevin's run. But the character was explained thoroughly and I never felt like I was lost.)

I haven't read Green Arrow in a long time either. I read Longbow Hunters back in '87, then stuck with the ongoing Grell-written series for just 8 or 9 issues. All I know is this: Oliver Queen apparently died in a plane crash a few years ago. His (previously unknown) son Connor Hawke became the new Green Arrow. And Speedy is now using a new name: Arsenal.

But all will be explained. I wouldn't worry about not following the last few years of GA stories.

: I never read Green Arrow. I mean, I've read some before, but haven't in years. However, I do plan on picking up your run and maybe I'll stick around after, like I've done for DD. Am I going to be totally lost when I pick up your first issue? Should I start reading Green Arrow now to get caught up or will you be taking the old school approach where "every comicbook is somebody's first", and filling us in on all we need to now in the first two pages? If you're not taking this approach, do you recommend Green Arrow storylines in particular tht might catch me up to speed?

: I recommended SNOW DAY to some people at Blockbuster the other day, I feel so dirty
