I saw the movie version of it at the Canadain Anime Expo
it is by the makers of Sailor Moon, but it is way kooler. There are fight seems and killer animation. The Story is about This girl (Utena) who is searching for something, she kinda a loner. She comes to this private school in the city and she stands out beacause she wears the boys uniform (don't worry, it's not freaky). In this school, the boys fight for this girl who is the "rose bride". Utena is mistaken for a boy and accidently challenges one of the boys for the bride. She wins and she is stuck w/ her. The rose bride, who is very sexually agressive, trys to 'get w/ her'.
I will live it at that cuz the rest of the story just blew me away. It is very complicated and it took me and 10 other people to get the symbolizum at the end. If you don't like what I said above, the story changes mid -through and it involves Utena escaping from 'death' or that's what we think.
Nevertheless it is still an amazing movie, but it wont be out for a while. Revelutionary Girl:Utena-Adolecence.
Also Escaflowne the movie is a million times better than the TV show, Van kick serious ass.
