Personally, I dont think so. I think there will be plenty of jokes in there for any newbies. Obviously, we are all hoping for plenty of in jokes and Askewniverse tie ups to be included in the film, but I don't think these will exclude non Askew types.
I don't think Kevin is arrogant enough to cater for only those 'in the know'. Sometimes I really hate that, because it's all so pretentious. The film will HAVE to be accessible to outsiders.
But one thing you should remember. Funny is funny, whether you know the backplot or not. So I wouldn't worry.
Just my opinion, mind.
