Fill me in on the inside jokes

I would like to be filled in on the inside joke of Mallrats and Dogma. Thing's like "Pooppy trip","one side red","Walt's Dog" what is behind those lines that we don't know? If some one can please tell me the deal with those i would appreciate it. Oh by the way name's Ash...housewares. Thanks.
