Kevin,
Just dropping you a line to give you some praise for the great work. But I have just one question: Does the fact that I like Chasing Amy the best out of all your films make me gay? Just kidding, as much as I hate to admit it I have a propensity to enjoy that whole boy v. girl conflict and resolution storyline in a movie. I guess I am just a sap. Honestly, however, one thing about that movie really hooked me. And it is not my still ongoing quest to find out what a nubian is. It's the depth in which you get to know the characters and the way they interact. Fine writing my friend, very nice. Which FINALLY leads me to my question (sorry for being so verbose). Were the characters and storyline of Chasing Amy inspired by actual life events, or the manifestation of a drunken conversation with a bunch of buddies over what would happen if a straight guy fell for a lesbian? Just curious about the inspiration and the thought process. Again, thanks for bringing something to the screen that has dialogue and comedic refrence for those of us with an IQ over 50.
