I checked out the Pasadena City College film program and it looks like your first year you're doing all video. You don't get to do any actual film work until the third semester you're enrolled. My question, well really to anyone out there, is; is the video editing and filming THAT very similar to film? I've done a LOT of video editing and I don't know if these Avid machines are anyting like one of those editors or what.
Oh, and hey, does anyone know of a good independent movie maker magazine?
thanks!
Jon
: Pasadena City College, in So. Cal has a pretty good film school. Just thought I would let you know. That is where I am taking screen writing courses, and they have film production and editing. If your in the area, you might want to check it out.
: I've only ever done video 1/2" and 3/4" editing before. And I've used razors on audio tape when I was in broadcasting school... I actually really enjoyed that, though I'd definitely rather do it digitally... Now I just need to find a Junior College with a film program here in So Cal...
