: : Last week I let a friend borrow my copy of Clerks,...when I got it back he thought it was hilarious and he said it reminded him of a movie he saw on TV. It was called "Eight Days a Week", I never saw it, but he said they kinda have the same sort of jokes. He said in one scene they talk about guys who try to suck their on dick. So I checked it out on IMDB and one of the recommendations was Dogma. Has anyone see this movie ? Are there any references to Clerks (or rats or amy)? Is it any good ?
: : Thanks

: I don't think that it is anything like Clerks or Mallrats. It's about this geeky kid that is in love with the popular girl, Keri Russel, and he decides to win her heart by staying outside her window all the time. There is the lewd sex dialogues, but that's about all the similarities. This movie is more of an American Pie before American Pie. It isn't too bad, there are a few funny jokes.

Yeah, pretty much. the is a joke about someone trying to suck their own dick, a few thins like that. The flick is very watchable, but i do remember there being a few bits that were pretty (and perhaps unintentionally) clerks-ish.
