After navigating through the entire "Gallery" section of the website, I stumbled upon something rather interesting. When discussing Alanis' response to Bethany's question ("One word...Plastic"), Kevin refers to the cut answer as a reference to the "Graduate". I'm ashamed to say that I've never seen the "Graduate", but I found a different reference in Alanis' response. I am a huge George Carlin fan, and I have many of his comedy specials on tape. In one such special, he has a piece that deals with "saving the planet". At the end of this piece Carlin says, "It may be the answer to that age old question: 'Why are we here'" Then answers himself in a deep voice, "Plastic, asshole". It just seemed funny to me that there was this similarity (maybe non-intended) between the line in Dogma and a line out of one of the actor's comdey specials. Well, thanks for keeping such a great website, and many thanks for allowing me to spend countless hours watching the great ViewAskew films.
