JAY & SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK *IS* the title. It's been the title on every draft of the script. It makes perfect sense that this script has a way-different title "style" than Kevin's other projects, because it's the most balls-to-the-wall, out-and-out comedy he's ever written and, dare I say it, relies on visual humor a lot more than it does verbal. It was quite interesting to read the drafts as they progressed- the earlier ones were more verbal, then it kept getting more and more visual. The last draft I read was more of a road movie than DOGMA was. If any film is going to show Kevin's expanse as a visual filmmaker (I personally think DOGMA did that quite well, but a lot of critics fell back on the "Kevin isn't visual!" bandwagon of criticism- I mean, sure, he's not Scorsese, but why the hel should he be? DOGMA has an appropriate visual style for the story being told, and I think Kevin made great use of the widescreen frame, but I digress...), this is it.
