The rooms at the Holiday Inn were $100 per night. So if you split a room with someone it comes $50 each per night - although you could even split it three ways and request an extra bed - thus bringing down the cost further).
I don't have my finances handy but the return airfare cost us around £300 each. But then you obviously need money for food, numerous trips to the Stash, drink (if you're over 21!!!), taxi fares etc.
I think on top of the V'thon ticket, air fare and hotel - I spent about an extra £600.
Hope that helps!!! (If it is any consolation I couldn't technically afford the trip myself - but I thought it was worth going into debt for!!!)
Anyway the trip was such a success that I think I'll try and organise a similar thing for next year... so the more the merrier!!!

: ....but in regards to VA2001. I know a group went from England this year and judging by the web page it looks like it was a kicking time. I was wondering what sort of cash it cost. I'm in Ireland and next year I will be at Vulgarthon, but I need some sort of estimate because i'm a struggling student and that sort of money saving needs planning. Did going as a group save cash? If so, would a bigger group save more money? If so, can't we organise a shit load of Europeans to go together? Especially seeing as next year it's going to be in a bigger venue. Just a few very early thoughts.
