The member's of the band(Tool and A.P.C.) are assholes (I hear, I don't know them) but the music rocks. I think it's better not to know the people behind the music, you are usually disappointed.
Massive Attack was in Matrix and Go! (When you first see neo at the computers sleeping) and (when the drug dealer tells the girl to take her shirt off and turn around to check for bugs while the music is up loud)
Orbital is similar (less "rocky") I think they had a song on the Matrix Soundtrack too...
Of course Musical taste is subjective. I seem to dig Kevin's choices.
