Blockbuster sell cut movies?

You are joking, aren't you? Why on earth would they edit videos / DVDs, unless it's something that's demanded by the ratings people and happens at source?

I got hold of a VHS copy of Gladiator the other week, and I'm sure that some of the stuff I saw in the cinema was cut out of it. I found this pointless and patronising, and I gave the copy away. (I also didn't like the film, but I'm not going to start an argument over its merits here).
