...in a British or Aussie accent. That said, only Americans can get away with a phrase like "kick ass", as it sounds ridiculous in any other accent. Only really pathetic Brits use the phrase in that form, so if you hear one saying "That kicks ass", please feel free to pistol-whip him.
However, saying "kick arse" is allowable. It still sounds like a silly phrase, but at least it's a pronounciation that we actually use.
