I never said anything about Shakespeare being the best of the best. What I find so interesting about him is how many people have used his works as a launch point for their work.
I mean, Prospero's Books (The Tempest), Ran by Kurosawa (King Lear), West Side Story (Romeo and Juliet), Pacino's Looking for Richard, The Bombitty of Errors (all right, it's a theatre production, not a film, but it's a great piece of work). I'll admit I have a higher opinion of Shakespeare as you do, but that doesn't mean I think he's the end all be all, but it's amazing that a writer's body of work could inspire such diverse interpretations. That's all i was saying was that I'd like to see Kevin's take on a piece.
