1) well, everyone loves silent bob and jay
and it would be the ultimate cool to film "bluntman and chronic"
as the last of the silent bob and jay inspired movies. would be cool
also to have cheech and chong in it as new jersey vice cops.
2) sad to hear that abc tv has discontinued "clerks"...they just don't get
it do they? aside from the constant "dick and fart" jokes
so apparent in kevin smith films, i don't see what they see so offensive
f@ck'em if they can't take a joke.
3) i grew up on john hughes flicks as well, so i see the affinity in them.
what if, the breakfast club had a nice sequel, with all of the past cast
in their previous roles, bringing them up to date with what's going on
with them now. the idea is, the principal is now cast as a shrink/
marraige counselor type, and in all of their failed relationships, they
are all brought back together to figure out their problems and
defiantly disavow the advice and guidance from the counselor.
the couples are as follows:
molly ringwald (cosmetics designer) - judd nelson (ceo of a security
firm (ie ADT) molly's character is caught cheating on judd, with andrew
mccarthy and judd develops an affinity for ally sheedy
emilio estevez (college wrestling coach) - ally sheedy - (guidance
counselor) ally sheedy seeks friendship from judd nelson's character and andrew mccarthy as well.
because emilio's character is too involved with sports that he neglects
her. and has some substance abuse issues to deal with as well
anthony michael hall - (ceo software company) - uma thurman (housewife)
hall's company is slowly losing their market position and going bankrupt
thurman is an opportunist w/ lesbian tendancies, through out all of this
failure, hall attempts suicide and they all end up at the shrink's
office.
i dont know, just some ideas.........
hughes flicks are kinda hard to write for, without having him involved at some capacity.
there are a few flicks that could also use some closure:
a) breakfast club
b) ferris bueller's day off
c) weird science
