There was extra footage shot in the Cardinal's office with Jay & Bob messing around while the others talk which was not shown in the final theatrical cut (Although a lot of this footage was seen in the Cannes version of Dogma shown at V2K.... and Cannes!!!).
One of the cut sequences involved Jay & Bob going behind a screen and using the Cardinal's hat (mitre???) as a mock shark fin - and moving it back and forth!!! I know it's not the greatest Jaws reference... bu there you go!!!
