There IS thanks to 'Sam Kinison' in one of Kevins films I think...
I think he was a similar sort of comedian, but with more anger/zanyness than the intelligence/spirituality of Bill Hicks.
They're often lumped together, although I hear Sam was quite different... he used to encourage his audience to drink drive (how's that for funny?) - and then he got killed by a drunk driver... (Was God watching? :)
Either way, I kinda see him as a punk comedian: Angry and energising... but with no real depth.
If Sam was Energising
then Bill has got be Spiritual Fulfillment...
Don't let that scare you off (anyone who hasn't seen Bill)! Bill Hicks was one of the funniest comedians you'll ever see... It's just that fact that he managed to shove facts and intelligence and love in at the same time that makes him special. Trust me! :)
If Kevin has ever heard him, I hope he's given him a proper chance... I honestly think twice about befriending people who don't "get"/like Bill Hicks... he's a good yard stick to live by ;)

BTW - Bill Hicks is dead too... but by cancer.
