Translating humor to film...

I've always thought that Terry Practhett's humour is similar while not identical to Kevins. It's a great book though isn't it? Terry Gilliam is handling the movie version, or so the rumour goes...

I'm curious to see how they translate the narrative nature of the humor to the screen. This would be impossible, but I would love to know if Kevin ever finds that he has paranthetical thoughts (like the humor of Terry Pratchett) that he then has to struggle to translate into a narrative/visual aspect.
I remember when I tried to adapt a story I had written into a play and sitting there fighting to get the descriptions and narrative asides into te text of a play.
Course I would hope that if anyone can succeed at that with Good Omens it's Terry Gilliam.
