You are quite correct about Alison. Psychological motives and all. That's why she looks so shocked at the beginning when Vernon says they're going to write an essay as a change.

Here's the run-down on what they did:

Brian - Blew up many lockers with flare gun in abbortive suicide attempt.
Claire - Ditched class to go shopping
Andrew - taped Larry's hairy buns together
John - Pulled a fake fire alarm, probably other stuff as well
Alison - Nothing, the girl is an island.

Also why do Vernon and Karl the cleaner just end up hanging out for ages and why can't Vernon look at the confidential files? He is Principal after all!
Also don't the kids notice he's been missing for ages...oh no, they're stoned by then. Once again Marajuana saves the day and makes everybody friends, Nooch!
