Dogma SE DVD and Disney?

Way back when Kev was looking for a distributor for Dogma, didn't Kev and Weinstein use Lion Gate Films because Miramax was housed under Disney and Disney didn't want such a controversial movie associated with it?

My guess is the guys trashed Disney on the commentaries.

Of course, there are a lot more valuable things we could all be doing with our time than fretting over this DVD which the guys are obviously working very hard on...

And I don't think releasing it at the same time as J&SBSB has anything to do with the pushed back release date...

could be wrong. probably am.
