I think it had to do with the fact that anyone with above a grade school edjumacation would realize what an utter crock of shit Stigmata was. The Priest from South America was soooo nice he'd possess that Arquette broad and make her life a living hell. Yup,holy guy,that one. And you can get the Gospel of St.Thomas at Amazon.com,so the Catholics really dropped the cencorship ball on that one.
