: My racing hero, Dale Earnhardt, was killed in an auto-racing accident today when the racecar he was driving collided whith the outside wall, on the final lap of the Daytona 500. His death was swift, and instant proving again exactly how fragile life is. In a time when professional athletes are seem much more like spoiled little boys, Dale Earnhardt was a man. I can't possibly say enough about him here, so I won't even begin to try. All I know to say is that Dale Earnhardt was a great man whom I admired very, very much. : : : : I'm writing with a heavy heart.
