I doubt anyone really cares, but I had to vent somewhere.
I've been sick the past three weeks and today I finally dragged my lazy ass to the doctor. Guy told me I had some bronchitis infection and had to have like two prescriptions filled, and I should buy 2 or 3 different over the counter medicines. So that's all well and good. I'm still under legal care of my parents so, thank Christ, they get to pay it, and I've got my 25 dollars tucked safely in my wallet for the Clerks DVD.
Well, what happens this evening? My mother's fucking pocket book gets ganked out of our car. Asshole shattered our window too. What really sucks is that my mother had every source of income in that wallet of hers. Credit cards, checkbook, cash, everything. We have to freeze our accounts completely, and we have no money until Friday, when my mother gets paid.
So guess where my 25 dollars goes? Prescription.
I'm not particularly pissed about having to give up 25 dollars for medicine. That's much more important than a fucking DVD, no matter how much I want the movie. What pisses me off more is the fact that for the next month to two months, we'll have little or no extra money while we reorganize our lost finances.
Which means the DVD itself won't fall into my hands until April or so.
A job is forthcoming, but because I can't be a fucking asshole, a majority of that money is going to go into helping support my family until everything's cool again.
Alright. I've vented. I feel a little better. The moral of your story:
Keep a fucking bear trap in your pocket book.
