1st is the Highlander orphanage forum, sorry, no url at this time that I can leave for all of you interested to get to it. Anyhoo, I've been a huge fan of Kevin and the films ever since I first saw Clerks when it came out in theaters (I was working as a stock clerk in a supermarket at the time, and Randal's attitude struck a chord with me, because it was identicle to my own, regardless to say, I was fired from that job). With the release of Dogma, Kevin surpassed George Lucas and Wes Craven as my all-time favorite film maker. The man is a gift to all of us who love movies, and a genius, whether he realizes it or not, whether he wants to admit it or not. Sometime in the next 5 years (whenever I can afford it) I'm going to New York for film school, and I hope that I can become even a percent of a fraction of the film maker that Kevin is. I have ALOT of ideas for films that I've been working on for damn near the past 10 years, including a series of films inspired by Kevin's films, but whereas in Kevin's films the main characters changed from film to film and the supporting characters connected the stories, mine have the main characters staying the same and most of the supporting characters changing, and there would only be 3 films in the series, no matter how popular(fingers crossed) they would become. Much like George Lucas, I have a set story in my head as to where the entire storyline goes from beginning to end, and it needs only 3 films to tell the whole story (of MY vision, anyway). I really think that most of the view askew fans would like them and appreciate them as homages to Kevin rather than rip-offs or copy-cats. And of course, there would be pop-culture references at every other turn. Well, I'm starting to ramble now, so, I'll talk to ya's again soon. There Can Be Only One!
