: Mr. Smith, sir. On several occasions, I have heard you mention that
Mallrats was ahead of it's time (What with the Comedy Central sign
on Brodie's wall, among other things). And I agree. Yes indeedy-doo.
And since the sense of humor would better fit today's audience, why
not just put the flick in theaters again? I don't know if you could, But if
it was possible, re-opening the flick would have two definite
advantages. Firstly, I think a lot of people would want to see it, and
you'd make a hell of a lot more money than the first time around.
Secondly, although your flicks are undoubtedly some of the best out
there, they are not as widely known as others. I myself just saw
Mallrats last year. That was my introduction to the View
Askewniverse. But I got interested, and rented the other Askew
movies. Only three other people I know have any idea who Jay and
Silent Bob are, and only two know what View Askew is. But if Mallrats
re-opened, more people would be introduced to the world of
Snootchie-Bootchies and whatnot. and your "Fan Club" so to speak,
would have even more fans added to the already impressive number.
