The reason the commentaries work on the ViewAskew DVDs(and many others like Boogie Nights, Fight Club, Usual Suspects, Toy Story, whatever) is because you get to hear the thoughts of the people who MADE the film.

Why would fans of the new movie want to hear what another fan thought of the film? 98+% People who will listen to the JASBSB DVD commentary are gonna be fans who watched it before. they'll like the film. but don't want to hear what your favorite parts are, we wanna hear the "behind the scenes" type stuff.

For your contest to work, the winner would have to be there now on set while they make the film.

MST3k had a web site on scifi.com for fans to try doing their own MST3k type writing on a live feed of SciFi channel. It sucked ASS. Not everyone is as funny as they think they are.

Leave DVD commentaries to people who make films and shows that end up on
DVD!

When the DVD comes out, watch it with a bunch of friends and talk about the film. They are your friends and will want to listen to you. Strangers don't give a rats ass what you have to say unless you were involved!

: Just a crazy thought but had an idea for the commentary on J&SBSB. How about you guys doing a contest were you pick 1 fan to join you on the commentary. This way you can have a fans thought on scenes, the acting and other things. It would be great to here a fellow fan talk about things he likes and hates about the VA movies. Just a crazy thought. If its dumb to the others sorry. And Kevin, if you like the idea but no one else does then just pick me to do!
